Adnan & Beng Hee Make Royal Lake Final

11 Oct 2013

Malaysia's top two squash players Ong Beng Hee and Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan will contest the dream Royal Lake Club Open final after prevailing in today's contrasting semi-finals of the PSA World Tour Challenger 15 event in its second year at the Royal Lake Club in the country's capital Kuala Lumpur.

Top seed Beng Hee stormed to an 11-6, 11-8, 11-6 victory in just 37 minutes over Pakistan's No4 seed Aamir Atlas Khan.

The triumph takes the 33-year-old world No23 from Penang through to the 23rd Tour final of his career - but his first on home soil since winning the Malaysian Open in July 2008.

The other semi was an all-Malaysian affair in which the country's number three Ivan Yuen stretched Adnan for 73 minutes before the second seed eventually closed out the match 10-12, 11-7, 11-7, 11-8 to secure his anticipated place in the final.

The win takes 27-year-old Adnan into the 17th Tour final of his career - and his 11th on home soil.
