24 Feb 2007

Isabelle Stoehr and Camille Serme battled into the semi-finals of the Women's Des Pyramides Open to ensure domestic interest in the final of the new WISPA World Tour event at Club des Pyramides in Le Port Marly, France.

Top seed Stoehr, the ten-times French National champion, took only 26 minutes to overcome Egypt's unseeded Amnah El Trabolsy 9-3, 10-9, 9-1, while third seed Serme, the French Junior Open champion, needed 50 minutes to quash Egyptian qualifier Eman El Amir 6-9, 9-2, 9-2, 9-7.

Appearing in her first WISPA event since undergoing knee surgery following last November's World Open in her home country, Laura Mylotte dashed French hopes of a further local player in the last four with a 9-6, 5-9, 9-2, 9-2 win over sixth seed Soraya Renai.

The fourth seed from Ireland now meets Hong Kong's No2 seed Elise Ng for a place in the final.
