8 Nov 2014

Dutch champion Milou van der Heijden claimed an unexpected place in the final of the Women's Lagos International Classic after taking out second seed Deon Saffery in the semi-finals of the inaugural WSA Tour 15 squash event at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria.

The third seed from Eindhoven despatched Saffery, the world No47 from Wales, 11-9, 15-13, 11-9 in 45 minutes to reach the ninth WSA World Tour final of her career - and her second this year.

Third seed Van der Heijden will meet fellow 23-year-old Heba El Torky, the top seed from Egypt, in the final.

The Alexandria-based world No29 needed only 26 minutes to see off fourth-seeded South African Cheyna Tucker 11-4, 11-8, 11-5.

El Torky is celebrating her 10th Tour final - and her fourth in 2014.
