Coleman Clinches Ipswich Open Crown

26 May 2014

Just five weeks after claiming his maiden PSA World Tour title, England's Ben Coleman picked up his second when he beat Scot Douglas Kempsell in the final of the Christchurch Vets Ipswich Open, a PSA Challenger 5 squash event at Ipswich Sports Club in Ipswich, England.

Second seed Coleman, 23, from Chelmsford, reached his seventh Tour final without dropping a game.

His surprise opponent Kempsell, the third seed from Edinburgh, disappointed the local crowd in the semi-finals when he removed top seed Jonathan Kemp, the former World No.20 and the club's head coach, in a five-game upset.

But it was all Coleman in the final as the World No.73 dismissed Kempsell 11-6, 12-10, 11-5 in 66 minutes.

Final:
[2] Ben Coleman (ENG) bt [3] Douglas Kempsell (SCO) 11-6, 12-10, 11-5 (66m)
