1 Mar 2008

The top four seeds safely survived their quarter-final encounters in the Women's Des Pyramides Open - but only favourite Isabelle Stoehr had a straightforward victory in the $17,250 WISPA World Tour squash event at Club des Pyramides in Le Port Marly, France.

The reigning French national champion took only 21 minutes to despatch sixth-seeded Malaysian Tricia Chuah 9-1, 9-0, 9-4. Stoehr will now face the new Dutch champion Annelize Naude, the No3 seed who needed four games to overcome Ireland's Laura Mylotte 9-4, 9-1, 7-9, 10-8.

Italian Manuela Manetta forced the longest match of the day. The fifth seed extended Dominique Lloyd-Walter for 56 minutes before the fourth seed from England finally prevailed 9-6, 10-9, 9-6.

Lloyd-Walter now meets Jaclyn Hawkes for a place in the final. The second seed from New Zealand beat England's No7 seed Laura Hill 9-0, 3-9, 9-6, 9-4.
