Second Seeds Score In Super Satellite Finals

28 May 2007

Second seeds Mohd Ali Anwar Reda and Line Hansen upset the favourites in today's finals of the NSC Super Satellite No1 to win the new Tour titles at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

Egypt's Mohd Ali Anwar Reda made it a hat-trick of trophies this month in KL when he dismissed Dylan Bennett, the top seed from the Netherlands, 11-6, 11-7, 11-10 (2-0) in 38 minutes.

The triumph marks the 18-year-old from Cairo's fourth career PSA Tour title.

Line Hansen made up for the disappointment of a shock first round exit in last week's WISPA World Tour Satellite event in KL to net her second title in the month.

The 24-year-old Dane from Odense recovered from a whitewash in the first game to beat Malaysia's top seed Sharon Wee 0-9, 9-3, 9-7, 5-9, 9-5 in 47 minutes.

Men's final:
[2] Mohd Ali Anwar Reda (EGY) bt [1] Dylan Bennett (NED) 11-6, 11-7, 11-10 (2-0) (38m)

Women's final:
[2] Line Hansen (DEN) bt [1] Sharon Wee (MAS) 0-9, 9-3, 9-7, 5-9, 9-5 (47m)
