Jackman Consolidates Second Place In World Rankings
7 Dec 2004
While Australia's Rachael Grinham has maintained her grip on the number one position in the December Women's World Squash Rankings, announced at the beginning of the month by the Women's International Squash Players' Association (WISPA), England's Cassie Jackman has consolidated her second place after winning November's Shanghai WISPA WorldStars Championship in China.
Whilst the next three positions remain unchanged - with Vanessa Atkinson of the Netherlands at three, USA's Natalie Grainger at four, and Rachael's sister Natalie Grinham at five - Malaysia's Nicol David rises one further place to a career-high No6 position.
The former twice world junior champion from Penang scored two of the best results of her career in Shanghai when she beat both Natalie Grainger and favourite Rachael Grinham to reach the final of the new WISPA Gold event.
