Hafiz Wins Barcelona Bonanza

Egypt's Mohamed Essam A Hafiz picked up his third PSA Tour title in four months when he beat France's Stephane Galifi in the final of the Ciutat de Barcelona Open in Barcelona.

The 27-year-old from Cairo was taken to a tie-break in the first game by the rejuvenated Frenchman - but the score reached 16-14 before Hafiz claimed the early one-love advantage.

Galifi maintained the pressure over the next two games - but it was only after the match had entered the second hour of playing time that the Egyptian was able to claim his hat-trick of 2004 titles with an 11-10 11-7 11-7 victory over his Rouen-based opponent in 65 minutes.
