National Squash Centre Hosts Inter Area Championships
7 Apr 2006
This weekend's Inter Area Academy Championships in Manchester see the climax of the second full season of the newly-established England Squash Academies.
The cream of the country's emerging talent will be on show at the National Squash Centre at Sportcity in this new England Squash development initiative.
Having been selected from players attending the six Area Academies (in the South East, Mid East, North East, South West, Mid West and North West), over 100 boys and girls from U13, U15 and U17 age-groups will represent their Areas in a team competition with each being given the fantastic opportunity to play on the unique all-glass championship squash court which hosted the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Coaches from the England Squash National Coaching Team will be in attendance to keep a keen eye on those showing the potential to progress into the National Academy - and thereafter perhaps go on to represent England.
