22 Dec 2005

England star Jenny Duncalf celebrated her new agreement with Prince in appropriate style by winning the Prince Women's Canary Islands Open to lift the last WISPA World Tour title of 2005 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.

Duncalf, the world No8 from Harrogate in Yorkshire, has extended her association with the brand by signing a new two-year agreement with Prince Sports Europe.

The 23-year-old England international, who has adopted the new Prince M+ Pro racquet, upset her higher-ranked England team-mate and defending champion Vicky Botwright 9-4 9-6 9-4 in the final to win the second WISPA title of her short career.

"I've been with Prince for many years now - it has always been my favourite brand," said Duncalf. "And I really like the new racquet - I couldn't wait to get my hands on it when I heard about it, and now I am really please with the way it plays."

Prince International Player Promotions Manager Andy Bunting added: "Jenny has made tremendous progress this year, breaking into the world's top ten and troubling all players above her. She will continue to be an excellent ambassador for the brand as she maintains her rise up the rankings."
