Swiss Hopes Dashed By Rampant Ramy In Losone

Egypt's world junior champion Ramy Ashour dashed local hopes in the Losone Open when he upset sixth seed Lars Harms in straight games on the opening day's play of the inaugural PSA Tour event in the Swiss town of Losone.

The 17-year-old beat Basel-born Harms 11-10 11-5 11-9 in just 20 minutes to set up an unexpected quarter-final against top seed Davide Bianchetti. The Italian despatched UK-based Zimbabwe qualifier Jesse Engelbrecht 11-5 11-5 11-6.
