Misaki Kobayashi & Choong Kam Hing Celebrate Maiden Tour Titles

Japan's Misaki Kobayashi and Malaysian Choong Kam Hing - both from the position of third seeds - became first-time winners of Tour squash titles after successes in the NSC Series No1 championships at the Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the all-Malaysian final of the men's $3,000 PSA World Tour event, 21-year-old Choong Kam Hing celebrated his first appearance in a Tour final by beating top seed Kamran Khan 8-11, 14-12, 6-11, 11-4, 11-8 in 76 minutes.

The women's $4,000 WISPA World Tour event also produced a dramatic five-game climax.

Misaki Kobayashi became only the third Japanese winner of a WISPA title ever when she upset England's second seed Lauren Selby 10-12, 11-3, 6-11, 11-5, 12-10 in exactly one hour.
