Canadian Finalist Assured In Ottawa

Victories in the quarter-finals of the Goodlife Open by second seed Shawn Delierre and fourth seed David Phillips will ensure Canadian interest in the final of the 1-star PSA Tour squash event at the Goodlife Fitness Club in Ottawa, Canada.

Delierre dominated in his match over 'hometown boy' Robin Clarke, the sixth seed from Ottawa - running out a comfortable 11-1, 11-10 (3-1), 11-8 winner in 39 minutes.

"Shawn was in no mood to let the hometown fans get behind Robin," said tournament organiser Heather Wallace. "He had Robin off balance throughout the match, attacking the front of the court. He will now meet fellow Montrealer David Phillips in the semis."

Phillips beat Austria's No8 seed Aqeel Rehman 11-4, 11-8, 11-3.

The other semi final will feature Bernardo Samper, the third seed from Colombia, and Mexican favourite Eric Galvez.
