Abdel Aziz & Chiu Win New Malaysian Titles

Egypt's Omar Abdel Aziz and Hong Kong's Rebecca Chiu collected the titles in the new Tour squash events at the Jalan Duta National Squash Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, today.

Abdel Aziz will be able to celebrate his 24th birthday tomorrow in style after upsetting top-seeded compatriot Omar Mosaad in the final of the NSC 1 Star No1 Championship.

The Cairo-based second seed recovered from a game down to beat Mosaad 3-11, 11-10 (6-4), 11-5, 11-7 in exactly one hour to earn the fourth PSA Tour title of his career.

Chiu had an untroubled run through the Women's NSC Tour 10 No1, reaching the final without dropping a game. Her Malaysian opponent Sharon Wee was stretched to the limit by England's Suzie Pierrepont in a five-game quarter-final - but it was Chiu who prevailed in the final, winning 9-7, 9-4, 9-1 in 34 minutes to score her fourth WISPA World Tour title of the year, and the 12th of her career.
