Corren Tested In Auckland Open Quarters

The top four seeds will contest the semi-finals of the Auckland Open - but third-seeded Australian Mike Corren was taken the full distance before surviving today's quarter-finals of the PSA Tour event at the North Shore
Squash Club
in Auckland, New Zealand.

The 33-year-old New Zealand-based Aussie was given a run for his money by compatriot Aussie Cameron White, twice coming from behind before eventually prevailing 11-3 in the deciding fifth game of an epic 82-minute battle.

Top seed Kashif Shuja is safely through to the last four after beating fellow kiwi Campbell Grayson in four games, while third seed Ryan Cuskelly also won in four against fellow Australian Matthew Karwalski.

Second seed Steve Finitsis continued the trend of winning in four, beating compatriot Luke Margan in a 42-minute scrap.
