Botwright Triumphs In Texas Open

Less than three weeks after winning two medals in the doubles events in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, England's Vicky Botwright reaffirmed her strength in singles when she beat Egypt's Engy Kheirallah in the final of the Women's Texas Open at the Downtown Club at the Met in Houston, USA.

The 28-year-old top seed from Manchester took 33 minutes to defeat surprise opponent Kheirallah, the No8 seed, 9-5 9-3 9-2 to claim her fourth WISPA World Tour title.
