Botwright Battles Back To Join Sister In Qatar Challenge

England's Rebecca Botwright battled back from two games down to beat Australia's Kasey Brown 7-9 3-9 9-1 9-5 9-5 in 77 minutes in today's qualifying finals of the Women's Qatar Airways Challenge in the Qatar capital Doha.

Rebecca, 23, from Manchester, will join her sister Vicky Botwright, the seventh seed, in the main draw of the WISPA Grand Prix event - Rebecca taking on compatriot Fiona Geaves, the 12th seed, with Vicky also drawn to meet an English opponent Stephanie Brind.

Welsh champion Tegwen Malik also came through the qualifying finals - and is rewarded with an appointment with Australian favourite Rachael Grinham, the world No1. Grinham is expected to meet defending champion Vanessa Atkinson, the No2 seed, in Sunday's final.
