16 Mar 2009

England's Jonathan Kemp recorded his best victory of the year when he upset top-seeded compatriot Daryl Selby in the final of the Winnipeg Building & Decorating Ltd Manitoba Open to become the first English winner of the $15,000 PSA Tour squash event at Winnipeg Squash Racquet Club in Winnipeg, Canada.

The 27-year-old world number 38 from Halifax in Yorkshire fought back from 2/1 down to beat Selby, ranked 13 places higher, 11-9, 9-11, 5-11, 16-14, 12-10 in an 108-minute marathon.

The victory gives left-hander Kemp his sixth career PSA Tour title - but his first since August 2006.
