Crawford Powers To Parma Prize

Scotland's Stuart Crawford claimed the first PSA Tour squash title of his career when he beat South African Gary Wheadon in the final of the Palasprint Open in Parma, Italy.

The 27-year-old fourth seed from Edinburgh made his breakthrough in the semi-final where he beat Neil Cordell, the unseeded Englishman who upset Italian favourite Luca Mastrostefano in the opening round.

Buoyed by his unexpected appearance in the final of the inaugural $3,000 PSA Satellite event, Crawford despatched Wheadon, the second seed from Cape Town, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7 in 40 minutes.
