Tom & Joey In All-English African Open Final

Compatriots Joey Barrington and Tom Richards will meet for the first time on the PSA Tour in an all-English final of the African Open, the $23,250 PSA Tour squash event at the Ikoyi Club in Lagos, Nigeria.

Richards, the fourth seed from Walton-on-Thames in Surrey, ended the surprise run of Ritwik Bhattacharya - beating the fifth seed from India 11-13, 11-5, 11-6, 11-5.

In the other semi, top seed Barrington was taken to two tie-break games by third seed Jan Koukal before overcoming the Czech number one 11-7, 14-12, 13-11.

While Barrington, the 28-year-old world No26 from Glastonbury in Somerset, is celebrating his 15th appearance in a Tour final, Richards - ranked 23 places lower - is marking his third.
