25 Oct 2007

Egypt's Amr Swelim fought back from two games down in the final - and survived a tie-break in the fifth game - to win the Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona Open in Spain.

Opponent Jesse Engelbrecht, the fifth-seeded South African who reached the final after upsetting India's second seed Ritwik Bhattacharya in the semi-finals, raced to a 2/0 lead in the climax of the PSA Super Satellite squash event at Club Natacio Sant Andreu in Barcelona.

But the 23-year-old from Cairo fought back to win the match 5-11, 8-11, 11-2, 11-3, 11-10 (2-0) to claim the first PSA Tour title of his career.

Final:
[1] Amr Swelim (EGY) bt [5] Jesse Engelbrecht (RSA) 5-11, 8-11, 11-2, 11-3, 11-10 (2-0)
