Tecnifibre To Sponsor British Junior National Championships

2 Oct 2007

England Squash have concluded a three-year agreement with Smash Sports Limited, distributors of Tecnifibre in the UK & Ireland, for the brand to become headline sponsors of the established British Junior National Championships.

With titles for both boys and girls at U13, U15, U17 and U19 level - and boasting more than 320 entries - the Tecnifibre British Junior National Championships are a valuable showcase for the best junior talent in Great Britain and Ireland.

"These Championships will showcase the strengths of players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, who could be the next generation of international and professional players," said Smash Sports' Mark Ibbotson.

England Squash Chief Executive Nick Rider added: "I'm delighted we're teaming up with Smash Sports. Through this partnership we're highlighting the values of excellence and quality that we so clearly share - the Junior Nationals will benefit enormously from Tecnifibre's support."

Tecnifibre's product development team has produced a valuable collection for players of all ages, extensively tested and proved by a growing number of international and national stars.

Tecnifibre has long been famous for its unique "nearest-to-gut" racket strings. The complete range of Tecnifibre products also includes rackets, bags, grips, overgrips, sportswear and accessories - all designed after extensive research and testing. The sportswear range has clothing for men and ladies, with many items available in sizes from 6-8 years to XXL.

All players taking part in the Championships will get a Tecnifibre event technical shirt, in "High Cool" fabric. Players finishing in the top four positions will receive Tecnifibre prizes.

Tecnifibre already has its link with European junior squash and, this year, will hold its 4th Tecnifibre European Junior Open at Nottingham Squash Rackets Club from 20-22 October. For more information about this, visit www.europeansquash.com or e-mail the tournament organiser nick@nsrc.co.uk.
