22 Jun 2006

Former national champions Fabian Kalaitzis and Petros Tzamaloukas crashed out of the qualifying finals of the Greek Open, leaving wild card player Nikolaos Moustroufis to carry home hopes alone in the first round of the new PSA Tour event at Athens Lawn Tennis Club in the country's capital.

Denmark's Morten W Sorensen beat six-times National champion Kalaitzis 9-11, 11-10 (2-0), 11-4, 11-3, while Spain's Alejandro Garbi Caro defeated Tzamaloukas, the 2003 champion, 11-6, 11-5, 11-3.
