Duncalf Downs Elriani In Greenwich Semi

Jenny Duncalf scored a notable upset in the Women's Harrow Greenwich Open when she beat English compatriot Linda Elriani, the top seed and defending champion, in a five-game semi-final marathon to reach the final.

Duncalf, the 23-year-old world No10 from Harrogate in Yorkshire, came from 1/2 down to topple Elriani 9-5 5-9 2-9 9-6 9-2 to achieve her first ever victory over the world No6 from Eastbourne in Sussex.

In her first WISPA World Tour event since winning the Canary Islands Open in December, Duncalf now faces another fellow countrywoman in her fourth WISPA final.

Alison Waters, the fifth seed who upset USA's second seed Natalie Grainger to reach the last four, took four games to beat England's Laura-Jane Lengthorn, the No7 seed, 4-9 9-0 9-2 9-5 in the other semi.

Waters, 21, from London, is celebrating her third appearance in a WISPA final.
