New Dunlop Sponsorship Agreements Ensure Professional Squash In Safe Hands

World leading squash brand Dunlop has re-signed its sponsorship agreements with the Professional Squash Association (PSA) and Women's International Squash Players' Association (WISPA).

The PSA agreement makes Dunlop the exclusive 'Official Ball and Racket' of the men's PSA World Tour for the next five years. Furthermore, Dunlop will continue to be the 'Official Ball' of WISPA.

Gawain Briars, Chief Executive of the PSA, commented: "We are delighted to have agreed terms for a new five-year agreement which will see Dunlop as the ball and racket of choice for the PSA and its World Tour. The growing strength of the PSA brand, together with the increasing numbers of events, prize money and members joining the tour, have made the PSA a continuing natural fit for Dunlop.

"The agreement underpins many of PSA's operational activities, and the continuation of this relationship marks one of the longest running and most successful contracts in squash," added Briars.

Renewal of the WISPA 'Official Ball' agreement was summed up perfectly by Andrew Shelley, Chief Executive of the women's association: "Our members were in full support of continuing this long running relationship. They are able to compete around the globe with the peace of mind that there will always be the constant of the excellent Dunlop ball awaiting them. With this in mind, we are delighted to secure a new five-year partnership that will ensure the best women players in the world are able to continue playing Dunlop."

Toby Marcham, Group Product Manager responsible for Dunlop squash, commented: "The PSA and WISPA agreements create the perfect partnership for both professional squash and Dunlop. Having our ball used by the world's best male and female players is the ultimate endorsement for Dunlop as the undisputed World No1 squash ball brand with over 90% global market share. From elite level through to grass roots, Dunlop is the ball of choice for National governing bodies and squash players worldwide - the PSA and WISPA agreements have played, and will continue to play, a major part in maintaining this position.

"In addition, being Official Racket of the PSA presents a unique endorsement for Dunlop as the No1 racket on the men's Professional World Tour," Marcham added. "Jonathon Power and World Champion Amr Shabana, who are currently at No1 and No2 in the world rankings, head up an unrivalled team of Dunlop-sponsored players which account for approximately half of the world's top 20. This achievement is supported by the PSA 'Official Racket' agreement and working closely with these world class players will ensure Dunlop rackets continue to lead the market."
