Top Seeds Comfortably Through in Islamabad

The top seeds in the Men's World Junior Championship comfortably came through the first day of action at the new Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Saurav Ghosal, who is seeded to become the first winner of the event from India, despatched Australia's Ben Reece 9-3 9-2 9-1 in the second round - and now meets Malaysia's Mohd Adnan, a 17/32 seed, who beat Mexican Cesar Salazar 10-8 9-5 5-9 9-5.

Local hero Khalid Atlas Khan, the No2 seed from Pakistan who is expected to meet Ghosal in the final, overcame Austria's Aqeel Rehman 9-5 9-2 9-4 to set up a third round clash with England's unseeded Joel Hinds, who beat Jesus Pena of Mexico 9-3 9-4 9-5.
