Pierrepont Powers To Montreal Title

England's Suzie Pierrepont justified her billing as top seed in the Women's Montreal Open by winning the $5,100 WISPA World Tour squash event at Club Sportif MAA in the Canadian city of Montreal.

But the US-based 24-year-old from Sussex had to battle back from two games down in the final against Canada's Miranda Ranieri before eventually getting the better of the second seed from Toronto after 43 minutes.

The 9-11, 8-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 win marks the fifth Tour title of Pierrepont's career - but the first since winning the Macau Open in November last year.
