Mustonen & Marche March Into Last Eight At Leinster

Qualifiers Henrik Mustonen and Gregoire Marche defied the seedings in the Bymac Leinster Open to claim unexpected quarter-final berths in the $10,000 PSA Tour squash event at the Fitzwilliam Club in Dublin, Ireland.

Mustonen, the 19-year-old world No 105 from Finland, prevailed against Malta's Bradley Hindle after the third seed retired injured midway through the third game, with the score standing at 10-12, 11-5, 6-3.

Frenchman Marche, also 19, despatched fourth-seeded Dutchman Dylan Bennett 11-6, 10-12, 11-3, 11-5.

Irish interest is being led by Arthur Gaskin, the Dublin-born No7 seed who defeated Austrian qualifier Aqeel Rehman 11-7, 11-0, 11-9.

The 24-year-old world No93 now faces second seed Stephen Coppinger following the South African's 11-8, 11-6, 11-5 victory over French qualifier Joan Lezaud.
