Botwright Celebrates Maiden WISPA Title

England's Rebecca Botwright celebrated her maiden title on the WISPA World Tour when she beat Canada's Alana Miller in straight games in the final of the Women's Liberty Bell Open in Philadelphia, USA.

Top seed Botwright, the 22-year-old younger sister of world No9 Vicky Botwright from Manchester, swept through to the final without dropping a game.

By contrast, opponent Alana Miller, the No2 seed from Winnipeg, was made to fight back from 0-2 down in the semi-finals against Kasey Brown before beating the third-seeded Australian in five games.

Botwright junior, who became the European Champion last September, maintained the upper hand throughout the final to win 9-5 9-4 9-2.
