Jagtap & Hodgson Win Welsh Junior Open Titles

India's Aditya Jagtap and Robyn Hodgson, from Scotland, prevailed in tough finals in the Kane Mailing Welsh Junior U19 Open in Cardiff to celebrate their first successes on the European Squash Federation Junior Circuit.

Jagtap was top seed in the men's event - but the 16-year-old from Mumbai, now based at Millfield School in England, had to fight from two games down in the final to overcome second-seeded Englishman Anthony Graham 3-11, 8-11, 11-6, 13-11, 12-10.

The women's final also went to five games - but this time the favourite was unable to press home her advantage. Sarah Barnes, the top seed from France, recovered from two games down to draw level - but 18-year-old Hodgson, the No2 seed, was on top throughout the decider, ultimately winning 16-14, 11-4, 8-11, 10-12, 11-2.
