8 Dec 2004

Australia have been seeded to win the gold medals in all three categories of the 2004 World Doubles Squash Championships which will take place in Chennai, India, from 13-17 December.

David Palmer and Anthony Ricketts, both from NSW and ranked 4 and 14, respectively in the world, are favourites for the Men's title - while Queensland sisters Rachael Grinham and Natalie Grinham, the world numbers one and five, are seeded to secure the Women's crown. Palmer and Rachael Grinham are also expected to pick up their second gold medals in the Mixed event.

Nine countries - Australia, India, New Zealand, Malaysia, Pakistan, USA, South Africa, Singapore and Hong Kong - will be represented in the second World Doubles Championships.
