Top Seeds Downed As Atlas Khan & El Torky Win Pakistan Open Titles

After reaching the men's and women's finals of the Pakistan Open, both top seeds Farhan Mehboob and Christina Mak, respectively, failed to win the titles in the Tour events at the Mushaf Squash Complex in the country's capital Islamabad.

Second seed Aamir Atlas Khan avenged his defeat a week earlier in the climax of the CNS International in Karachi by defeating fellow Pakistani Mehboob 8-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-5 in the final of the $30,000 PSA Tour event.

The 18-year-old from Peshawar celebrated the fourth PSA title of his career.

Egyptian teenager Heba El Torky maintained her giant-killing run in the $10,000 women's WISPA World Tour event when she beat favourite Christina Mak 11-7, 11-8, 11-9 in the 29-minute final.

The 17-year-old third seed from Alexandria had ousted Hong Kong's second seed Joey Chan in the previous round - and now celebrates her second Tour title success in two months after winning her maiden trophy at the China Open in Shanghai in October.
