Top Seeds Shuja & Wee Take NSC Titles In Malaysia

New Zealand's Kashif Shuja and Malaysia's Sharon Wee secured the latest NSC squash titles in Malaysia after contrasting victories in the semi-finals at the Jalan Duta National Squash Centre in the capital Kuala Lumpur.

Shuja, the top seed from Auckland, beat fourth-seeded Indian Ritwik Bhattacharya 11-9, 11-9, 8-11, 11-10 (2-0) in the final of the men's NSC 1 Star No2 Championship in 36 minutes to win his second successive PSA Tour title - and the seventh of his career.

After claiming a place in squash history by becoming the first Japanese player to reach a Tour final, Chinatsu Matsui was unable to resist the challenge of Sharon Wee as the top seed from Malaysia beat the eighth seed 9-4, 9-3, 9-4 in the final of the Women's NSC Tour 10 No2 Championship in 35 minutes.

Wee is also celebrating her seventh WISPA World Tour title.
