Kitchen Crushes Khan In Berkshire Final

Top seed Shelley Kitchen dismissed home hope Latasha Khan in straight games in the final of the Women's Berkshire Open in Williamstown, USA, to lift the WISPA World Tour squash trophy at Williams College.

Kitchen, the world No11 from New Zealand, made only five errors in her impressive 9-4, 9-1, 9-2 defeat of third seed Kahn, the seven-time US national champion from Seattle.

"The capacity crowd at the Simon Squash Center gave both players a standing ovation after the match in support of their effort," said event spokesman Zafi Levy.

The victory, her fourth WISPA trophy of the year, takes Shelley's career haul to 11 Tour titles.
