Zac Zaps Champion Cameron In Australian Open Qualifier

Young Australian Zac Alexander caused the biggest qualifying upset in the Clare Valley Australian Open when he beat last weekend's South Australian Open winner Cameron White 7-11, 11-9, 11-7 in today's first round of the PSA Tour event in Clare, South Australia.

The 18-year-old Queenslander then beat compatriot Jacob Lohrisch in the qualifying finals at the Valleys Lifestyle Centre to make the main draw - where he will play top seed Stewart Boswell in the opening round.

Other successful qualifiers were Matthew Karwalski from New South Wales, Victoria's Steven Robinson and Queenslander Nathan Turnbull.
