Le Roux Celebrates Maiden PSA Tour Title In Cardiff

England's Shaun le Roux claimed his first PSA Tour when he beat fellow countryman Ben Ford in the final of the Welsh Open at St Mellons Country Club in Cardiff.

After powering past unseeded Welshman Peter Creed in the semi-finals, the 20-year-old third seed from Castleford in Yorkshire was taken to tie-breaks in the first two games before upsetting second seed Ford 11-10 (2-0), 10-11 (1-3), 11-4, 11-8 in 53 minutes to clinch the title.

The climax marked 31-year-old Ford's second PSA Tour final appearance in two weeks after winning his maiden Tour trophy at Le Sport Open in Wales last month.
