Naude Springs Back To Form With Winning Flowerbulb Display

After a disappointing run of first round exits on the WISPA World Tour, Annelize Naude sprung back to top form in the Women's Hillegom Flowerbulb Open to become the first Dutch player to win a WISPA title on home soil for more than five years.

Naude, the world No16 from Amsterdam, was the top seed in the new WISPA event in Hillegom. The 29-year-old comfortably reached her tenth Tour final without dropping a game.

Her opponent, second seed Line Hansen from Denmark, dropped games in the previous two rounds. The 230-year-old from Odense made it through to her second WISPA final in three months - both of which in the Netherlands - after beating England's surprise quarter-finalist Emma Beddoes 9-5, 9-5, 4-9, 9-2.

Hansen put up a brave fight in the final - but Naude did not disappoint the enthusiastic crowd which was hoping to see a Naude win, the first 'local' win since Vanessa Atkinson won the Dutch Open in 2001.

To the delight of the crowd, Naude took the title with a 9-3, 9-6, 9-1 scoreline - her first since March 2004 and the third WISPA trophy of her career.
