PSA Tour Growth Continues To Surge

Gawain Briars and Jack Herrick, Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board, respectively, of the Professional Squash Association (PSA), release first half 2006 results today about the status of the PSA Tour.

For the first time in the first six months of any year, total prize money exceeds $1,000,000. This represents a 25% improvement over the first half of 2005 and continues the double digit growth the PSA Tour has been experiencing.

"Prize money set a new record in 2004, with growth of 24% from 2003. Then in 2005, another new record was set with 19% growth from 2004. With this first half result from 2006, Gawain and I are confident that 2006 will set another new record," stated Herrick.

Briars added: "We clearly recognise that these results are due in a major extent to the energy, enthusiasm and skill that our promoter and sponsor partners are demonstrating."
