Four In A Row For Vanessa

30 Jun 2006

Still unbeaten on the tour this year, Vanessa Atkinson celebrates her fourth successive month as number one in the new July Women's World Squash Rankings, published today by the Women's International Squash Players' Association (WISPA).

The Dutch star, from The Hague, has won three WISPA titles this year - and next week heads a star-studded field at the Qatar Airways Challenge in Hyderabad in a bid to win her first trophy in India.

While Malaysia's World Open champion Nicol David holds onto her position at No2, Australia's Grinham sisters swap the next two places for the second time in two months - older sibling Rachael Grinham returning to No3 and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Natalie Grinham slipping back to four.

In a relatively unchanged top twenty list, England's Tania Bailey moves up to eight - her highest position this year.
