Top seed Mike Corren crashed out of the Partek South Australian Open after losing to fellow Australian Cameron White in today's men's quarter-finals at the Next Generation club in North Adelaide, Australia.
The US-based 33-year-old, competing in his first PSA Tour event of the year, went down 11-6, 10-11 (2-4), 11-5, 11-4 in 59 minutes to the seventh seed.
White, 30, from Melbourne, will face compatriot Ryan Cuskelly in the semi-finals after the fifth seed from New South Wales upset No3 seed Scott Arnold, also from Australia, 11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8.
The other semi-final will be the all-Australian battle predicted by the seedings, featuring No2 seed Steve Finitsis and fourth seed Luke Margan.
The quarter-finals in the women's WISPA World Tour event were straightforward affairs in which the four top seeds eased into the last four after straight games wins.
